Yukon’s Public Art Program celebrates creativity as a driver of community identity, economic vitality, and quality of life. Its policy provides a clear, content-neutral process for installing murals, sculptures, and other public-facing art, whether City-funded, privately owned, or tied to economic development incentives.

Non-commercial art is reviewed for safety, durability, and site compatibility, not message or viewpoint. A dedicated Public Art Fund supports installation and maintenance, with priority for high-visibility and downtown projects.

Most applications move through administrative review within 10 business days, with Public Art Committee input (when needed) within 30 days. The $75 application fee is waived for incentive-linked or City-initiated projects.
